Attention Important Changes for Candidates seeking BPI Certification

As part of its ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Accreditation process, the Building Performance Institute (BPI) has announced a set of changes that will take effect on February 1, 2012.

By achieving ANSI Accreditation, BPI is making every effort to ensure that every exam processed is fair and uniform across the country. This statement also validates that energy auditing standards for residential homes are current, responsible, and professional. ANSI Accreditation safeguards the integrity of standards-bearing organizations like BPI and validates its standards through third-party verification.

What This Means to You the Candidate
Starting February 2012, BPI is requiring that all certification exams be video and audio recorded.

Your BPI Certification is about to become even more valuable with the introduction of videotaped exams.
